If you are building a new home on a plot of land, it might be better for both you and the security of your new home if you lived on site. This doesn’t mean pitching your tent on site and surviving through the winter in your sleeping bag, oh no! There are far more sophisticated ways of living on site nowadays and you would be surprised at how many people actually choose to do this.

Portable cabins are used on a whole range of different building sites for a variety of different reasons, one of which is as a home. Most portable cabins come with toilet and kitchen facilities and it is really easy to have partition walls installed so that you can create a bedroom and living space if necessary.

You may think this is a ridiculous expense when building a new home but if you consider the possible costs of having to employ a security guard to keep on eye on site or the cost of renting a property nearby so that you can oversee the project, a portable cabin is actually very practical.

You will be able to have a really hands on role in the development and construction of your new home if you are living on site. It is a wonderful experience to go through if you get the opportunity to do it.
