The life of a shipping container

Nothing can stop a storm or turbulence during a sea trip. However, the shipping container fights the weather to protect and safeguard your valuable goods within it.

A typical shipping container varies in size, shape and weight and depending upon these characteristics the shipping container provides storage to the goods. Some shipping containers are also constructed for specific purposes. Refrigerated containers, steel dry containers, insulated containers are just a few of them.

Products which are sensitive to temperature or condensation are stored in insulated containers. This type of container is weather proof and can be locked from the outside for security. The steel dry containers are also weather proof and secure. These containers can be used for international shipments and adheres with the ISO/CSC guideline.

If the temperature needs to be controlled within the container then refrigerated shipping containers are ideal.

The shipping container dedicates its life for providing storage facility to the passengers on board. Even when the shipping container is not sailing it does not waste itself lying on the shipping premise. The shipping container is then used for the purpose of a self storage or portable office.

The shipping container can also be given on rent, hire or lease for self storage. However, there is exchange of contracts and documents so that the process is transparent and beneficial to the lender and the storage seeker.
